Description:

A framed plaque on a sandstone backboard and base. The oblong plastic plaque has a black inscription in upright sentence-case lettering on a white ground which details the history and development of the site during and after WW2. The plaque and its wooden frame are mounted on the vertical face of a monolithic circular sandstone backboard which surmounts a sandstone ashlar base and steps.
