History
26th August, 1965: The church was listed Grade I, Heritage List for England number 1108938.

1969-70: The carpet was funded by members of the Cheshire Yeomanry in conjunction with a church restoration project then being implemented.

14th January, 1971: The church lies within the Whitwell Conservation Area first designated on that date.

July 1987: The church lies within an area subject to an Article 4 Direction first made on that date.

14th December, 2016: The church was visited by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. The carpet was not found.

Comments
The Cheshire Yeomanry were billeted at Whitwell in 1939-1940 and have subsequently continued the association with the village. The carpet was provided to commemorate a visit by regimental representatives in 1969.
