Overall condition: Fair. The memorial is cared for.


Description:

Oaken panelled wainscoting around the sides of the apsidal chancel. The panels have blind quatrefoil tracery at the head and extend the full height between the moulded dado rail and a skirting in the form of a plinth with quatrefoil decoration. The memorial may include the communion rail and is believed to also include a brass plaque bearing an incised inscription in upright capital roman lettering.

History
c1921: The memorial was installed.

27th March, 1921: The memorial was unveiled by Mr H Stocks and dedicated by Rev H W Fuller.

17th July, 1971: The Wesleyan Methodist Church lies within the Bolsover Conservation Area first designated on that date.

Unknown dates: The Wesleyan Methodist Church was renamed the Trinity Methodist Church and subsequently the Bolsover Methodist Church.

2nd February, 2017: The memorial was sought by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot but was not identifed.

Derbyshire Courier, 10th January 1920, p9: a report on the forthcoming provision of the memorial described as comprising wainscoting in the chancel and communion rails.
