Description:
Additional lettering to an inscription on a headstone on a family grave. The grey sandstone headstone has a semicircular arch top, chamfered borders and a latin cross surrounded by foliage in relief within a roundel at the head. The inscription is incised in upright capital block lettering.

In Loving Memory of PTE. JOHN WILLIAM BOAM, DEARLY BELOVED SON OF WILLIAM AND ESTHER BOAM, KILLED IN ACTION IN FRANCE, SEP. 15TH, 1916, AGED 23 YEARS. TO FAR AWAY DEAR ONE, THY GRAVE TO SEE BUT NOT TO FAR TO THINK OF THEE ALSO THOMAS EDWIN, SON OF THE ABOVE DIED IN INFANCY. ALSO FRED, SON OF THE ABOVE DIED OCTOBER 4TH. 1909, AGED 22 YEARS. ALSO SARAH JANE JOHNSON, GRANDMOTHER OF THE ABOVE CHILDREN DIED JAN. 20TH. 1905, AGED 61 YEARS. "THY WILL BE DONE."
