Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.


Description:

An addition to the lettering on a headstone and a kerb on a family grave. The low headstone has a semicircular top with low decoratively stepped shoulders and bears an inlaid inscription mainly in upright capital lettering. The headstone is accompanied by oblong stone kerbs bearing a further inlaid inscription.

History and Conservation
1920s: The grave and kerbs were registered by CWGC as the war grave of Pte F G Blood.

1st May, 2002: The cemetery was entered in the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens, reference number 1001610.

26th January, 2018: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition.

Comments
Although Pte F G Blood is named on this gravestone, this is his CWGC War Grave so this is not classified as a war memorial according to the definition adopted by most heritage organisations.
