Location details:
Although Boulton-by-Derby is the historical name, it is today just known as Boulton, and although widely considered to be part of Alvaston it is an ecclesiastical parish in its own right.
The church is on the north side of the road, the gravestone is near the eastern boundary wall of the churchyard, just north of the lych gate.

Overall type: Addition to gravestone.


Overall condition: Poor. The inscription is only partly legible.


Description:

Lettering added to a stone on a family grave. Chamfered white marble kerbs have a narrow moulding on the upper face and the inlaid inscription is in mixed styles of upright lettering on the face of the chamfer.
