Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.


Description:

An addition to a memorial stone on a family grave. The memorial comprises a recumbent white limestone tablet in the form of a scroll with an inscription inlaid in upright capital lettering. It is accompanied by a further oblong limestone tablet on the surface of the grave and oblong stone kerbs.

Custodian: Presumed to be the Beardsley family, but since c2005 much maintenance work has been carried out by the Friends of Stanton Road Cemetery..

History

September 2008: The memorial was rediscovered by Mrs J Hunt of Friends of Stanton Road Cemetery whilst clearing undergrowth.

8th October 2008: The memorial was surveyed by Anne and Roy Branson. It was in fair condition.
