Location details:
In remote inhospitable moorland on the western flank of Kinder Plateau, between Cluther Rocks and Kinder Low, a few metres east of the Pennine Way long distance footpath and located against a natural rock adjacent to fragments of aircraft debris.

A plain wooden cross with a brass plaque bearing an incised inscription stamped in upright capital lettering.

History
17th April, 1951: The memorial lies in the Peak District National Park designated on that date.

2nd August, 2012: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition.
