Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible and the memorial is well cared for.

Description:

Originally a brass sundial on a square sandstone pedestal and four stepped base within a circular paved area. The four faces of the pedestal had oblong recesses each bearing a brass plaque with the inscriptions. At some time a further plaque was added to the 6 o'clock face of the top step for WW2 and subsequently the memorial was moved to a nearby memorial garden. At a later date the sundial and plaques were stolen. The plaques were replaced by granite tablets but nothing remains of the sundial.

History
25th May, 1920: The memorial was unveiled by Mrs Swallow of Mosborough Hill House, Eckington at a service conducted by the vicar of Eckington.

4th May, 2016: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition.
