History
11th November, 1949: The chair was dedicated.

1975: The chair was moved from the redundant St James's Mission Church at Stretton to its new location at St Barnabas's Church Danesmoor.

31st August, 1984: St Bartholomew's Church was listed Grade II, Heritage List for England reference 1087812.

c2006: The chair was moved from St Barnabas's Church prior to its demolition, and was relocated at St Bartholomew's Church Clay Cross.

August 2010: St Bartholomew's Church lies within the Clay Cross Conservation Area designated on that date.

16th May, 2013: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in good condition.
