Description:

A temporary well dressing tableau traditionally made from vegetation pressed into clay held in a wooden frame, but today often including pebbles, chippings, beads, fabric etc. The dressing comprised an upright oblong panel bearing a multicoloured scene of a diagonal cross in a landscape, with trees behind and poppies amongst the grass in the foreground, and with the commemorative name at the front . A small supplementary panel bore the tramway village name in white upright capital block lettering on a red ground.
The well dressing was displayed from 7th to 14th July 2018 and was subsequently dismantled.

History and Conservation
Spring 2018: The memorial well dressing was designed, constructed and erected by members of the local community.

7th July, 2018: The memorial was blessed by the local clergy.

8th July, 2018: The memorial was photographed by Glyn Williams

15th July, 2018: The dressing was dismantled and the components salvaged for future use.
