The central panel featured a depiction of Abraham under a tree on the mountainside before the sacrificial fire on a stone altar, and with Isaac in the background and its surround contained blue and green rosettes and a blue text in upright capital lettering commemorationg votes for women. The two side panels each contained a silhouette against a red sunset sky: that to the left being a battlefield grave; that to the right being an infantryman with reversed arms. The lettering on the arch was in red upright capital block lettering against a white ground and the finial comprised a red cross above a depiction of the Union Flag with a red aircraft tailfin and RAF roundel superimposed.
