Overall type: Board. Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible and the memorial is cared for.


Description:

A wall mounted oblong oaken board with a moulded border and a rosette in each corner. At the centre is a carved winged and robed figure of St Michael bearing a sword and a shield with the wording 'Quis UT DEUS'. The board has an inscription at the head, a dedication to the left, and names in a single column to the right. The inscription and names are incised in gilded upright capital roman letters.

[Quis ut Deus is a Latin sentence meaning "Who [is] like God?" and is a literal translation of the Hebrew name Michael.]

8th May, 2014: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition and cared for.
