Description:

A temporary Derbyshire well dressing display traditionally made from flowers and other vegetation pressed into clay held in a wooden frame but now often utilising stones, beads, fabric etc. The dressing comprised an upright oblong panel with a segmental pediment.
The centre of the dressing depicted the badge of the Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire) Regiment and the two side borders contained the battle honours. The upper and lower borders contained the inscription in black upright capital lettering with a red poppy in each corner. The pediment contained an image of a ram which is the regiment's mascot.

Summer 2014: The dressing was designed and made by the local community.

10th July, 2014: The memorial was blessed by the local clergy.

11th July, 2014: The memorial was photographed by Glyn Williams.

18th July, 2014: The memorial was dismantled and the components salvaged for future use.
