Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible and the memorial is cared for.

Description:

An oblong bronze plaque with a moulded swan-neck pediment, plain pilasters to each side and a wreath in relief at the head. At the foot is a thin cornice with a curved panel below and pair of feet, the right one bearing the maker's name. The inscription is in raised upright capital lettering.

History
28 Sep 1921: A report suggests that the memorial was unveiled, but no evidence of this has been found.

c1926: A report suggests that the memorial was installed in St Mary's Gate Church, but no evidence of this has been found.

c1939: The memorial was removed from St Mary's Gate Church prior to its demolition.

1939: The memorial was installed in the newly built church in Broadway.

3rd August, 2017: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson. It was in fair condition and well cared for.
