Description:
A pale grey granite cross on a pedestal and base. The wheel cross is finely dressed on all faces and has intertwined strapwork in relief on the 6 o'clock face in the Celtic or Anglo-Saxon style, with an incised inscription on a panel towards the base. It surmounts a square plinth with a carved wreath on the 6 o'clock face, undecorated on the other faces. This surmounts a heavy truncated pyramidal pedestal of coursed rusticated ashlar with inset tablets on the 6 o'clock face. At the foot is a square two-stepped base, also of coursed rusticated ashlar with a single small tablet inset on the 6 o'clock face. The incised inscriptions are in upright lettering coloured black: that on the cross shaft is in mixed capital and sentence-case, the remainder in capital lettering.
