Description:

A freestanding monument comprising a cross with attached plaques.

The white limestone wheel cross has a crown in relief on a roundel at the centre and decorative panels around the base. It surmounts a cruciform white limestone pediment and plinth on a sandstone base. The pedestal has a moulded and bevelled top and originally bore the WW1 inscription on the front and side faces. These surfaces have subsequently been refaced with plaques bearing WW1 and WW2 inscriptions. The plinth bears a quotation on the front face in sentence case gothic lettering in relief but that is now very eroded.

Bronze plaques relating to WW1 and WW2 have been attached to the front and side faces of the pedestal and base. The plaques have narrow raised borders and bear dedications and names in raised upright capital block lettering.
