Overall type: Canopied crucifix.

 Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible and the memorial is cared for.
Description:

A wooden canopied crucifix surmounting a capstone, dado, plinth and base. The moulded capstone covers a square dado on an ashlar sandstone plinth and base. Three of the four faces of the dado contain green slate tablets in bevelled recesses on which the inscriptions are incised in uncoloured upright roman capital lettering.

History
1920s?: The memorial was erected and dedicated.

1940s?: The WW2 tablet was added.

16th January, 1992: The memorial lies within the Walton on Trent Conservation Area first adopted on that date.

14th April 2008: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition and cared for.

Summer 2015: The memorial was refurbished by Mr Trevor Howard and colleagues.
