Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.


Description:

An addition to a headstone on a family grave. The low, roughly dressed grey granite headstone has a shallow rounded arch top and the face has an oblong recessed panel with a finely dressed finish bearing the inlaid inscription in upright capital block lettering. It surmounts an oblong granite base.

History and Conservation

9th February, 2018: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition although the lettering had acquired a mottled grey patina which rendered legibility difficult against the mottled grey granite.
