Overall type: Addition to gravestone. Overall condition: Good, the inscription is legible.


Description:

An addition to a gravestone on a family grave. The tall black polished marble headstone has a rounded arch top, a christograph at the head and an inscription incised in upright capital roman lettering. The headstone surmounts an oblong base with bevelled top and is accompanied by plain oblong kerbs with the maker's details incised at the foot.

History and Conservation

Unknown date: The memorial was made by E & H Jackson, monumental masons, of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

28th April, 2019: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Anne Branson. It was in good condition and the inscription was clear.
