Location details:
The grave is about one third of the way from the north end of the cemetery and next to the central path.
Type
Overall type: Addition to gravestone. Overall condition: Fair. The memorial is in good condition and the inscription is legible although a few letters are missing.


Description:

A polished pink granite ledger and base. The ledger has a shallow hipped top bearing inlaid inscriptions on the two long surfaces. Each inscription has a small latin cross at the top centre and lettering in mainly upright capital block lettering. The base is comprised of kerbs with shallow sloping tops and hipped corners.

History and Conservation
12th March, 2020: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in good condition and the inscription was legible although a few letters were missing.

Comments
Although Cpl Doar is named only as Teddy on the inscription, CWGC records establish that he was 7945694 Cpl Edward Charles Thomas Doar of B Sqn 12th Royal Lancers, who died on 13th November 1944.
