The memorial is near the hedge on the eastern boundary, on the frontage to The Green.
Type
Overall type: Addition to gravestone. Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.


Description:

Originally a tall, upright, freestanding headstone but it has been laid flat on the ground. The headstone has a pointed arch top, recessed sides and a chamfered border. At the head is a depiction of clasped hands in an oval panel and two triangular panels containing foliage, all in relief. The inscription is inlaid in mainly upright capital lettering though some is in roman lettering and some is in sentence case gothic.

Unknown date: The headstone was laid flat.
4th August, 2020:  The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition: the lettering was intact and legible but the stone was discoloured and marked by algae.
