Description:
An addition to a limestone headstone on a family grave. The headstone has a shallow arch top with stepped corners and sprays of foliage in borders on each side and the inlaid inscription is in mixed styles of lettering. The headstone surmounts an oblong limestone base with a bevelled top.

In Loving Memory of WILLIAM, THE BELOVED HUSBAND OF BLANCHE AUGUSTA SLATER, OF CHEVIN SIDE, WHO DIED OCT. 12TH. 1927, AGED 65 YEARS. Also of CPL. WILLIAM T. SLATER, SON OF THE ABOVE, WHO WAS KILLED IN ACTION JAN 3RD. 1916, AGED 21 YEARS. BURIED IN LINDENHOEK ROAD CEMETERY WULVERGHEM BELGIUM.
