A set of five tapestry covered kneelers. The top face has the badge of the Cheshire Yeomanry in red, white and gold on a grey and green ground and the sides have repeated crosses with the maker's initials in the corner.

A caption card in a nearby wall niche explains the regimental association with the village and the origins of the kneelers.

26th August, 1965: The church was listed Grade I, Heritage List for England number 1108938.

1970-71: The kneelers were made by Mary Blagg, Julie Richardson, Eva Thornton and Alfred Thornton.

14th January, 1971: The church lies within the Whitwell Conservation Area first designated on that date.

July 1987: The church lies within an area subject to an Article 4 Direction first made on that date.

14th December, 2016: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. The kneelers were in fair condition and cared for.
The Cheshire Yeomanry were billeted at Whitwell in 1939-1940 and have subsequently continued the association with the village. The kneelers were made to commemorate a visit by regimental representatives in 1969.
