Location details:
The church is on the east side of the road in the centre of the village. The memorial is northeast of the church near the southern boundary of the churchyard extension.
Type
Overall type: Addition to gravestone Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.


Description:

An addition to the lettering on a family gravestone. The tall headstone has a rounded arch top over a crescent shaped panel of ivy leaves in relief and has tapered recessed sides. It surmounts an oblong base and is accompanied by oblong kerbs. The incised inscription is in upright capital block lettering.

History and Conservation
1st February, 1972: The Barlborough Conservation Area was designated. The memorial lies within it.

10th October, 2012: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition although the kerb and base were becoming overgrown with ivy which was also encroaching onto the headstone.
