Location details:
The church is on the east side of the road in the centre of the village. The memorial is towards the eastern corner of the churchyard extension.

Overall type: Addition to gravestone Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.


Description:

An addition to the lettering on a family gravestone. The tall white marble headstone has a triple rounded arch head, hollowed shoulders and is accompanied by oblong kerbs. The inlaid inscription is in upright capital block lettering.

History and Conservation
1st February, 1972: The Barlborough Conservation Area was designated. The memorial lies within it.

10th October, 2012: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition although the kerbs and base were overgrown with ivy which was also encroaching onto the headstone.
