Description:
A tablet forming a headstone on a family grave. The grave has a confusing accumulation of stones mainly comprising cast concrete with inlaid panels of darker stone all within concrete kerbstones. The battered concrete headstone has an inlaid panel containing the inscription but it is unclear whether this was the original headstone or is misplaced as it is not central and does not appear to be attached to the base. The two-step concrete base has a narrow oblong inlaid panel and an overturned concrete vase near the centre of the grave also has an inlaid oblong panel, both with further inscriptions. All of the inscriptions are incised in upright capital roman lettering. The plain oblong concrete kerbstones have no further markings.

History
|
6th February, 2013: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. Although the headstone, vase and kerbstones were intact and the inscriptions clearly legible the base was badly spalled and at risk of losing its inlaid panel, the vase was overturned and the grave was in an unkempt condition.
