Location details:
The garden of remembrance is on the north side of the road in the centre of the village. The plaque was at the north end.

Can you tell us what happened to this memorial?.


Description:

A recumbent oblong metal plaque with a narrow white border, a small white latin cross at the head and an inscription in upright capital roman lettering coloured white. The plaque was mounted on an oblong concrete backboard on a sloping concrete and stone base.

History and Conservation
1951: The memorial was installed and unveiled.

1st February, 1972: The Barlborough Conservation Area was first designated. The memorial was within it.

c2010?: The memorial was removed.

10th October, 2012: The memorial site was visited by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot and the memorial found to have been replaced
