The horizontal oblong backboard has a fluted pilaster to each side and surmounts an oblong base. The top comprises an oblong board with a pair of metal brackets attached, by which the memorial may be attached to a wall although it is currently freestanding. Comments |
Although the church is a listed building and lies within the Old Whittington Conservation Area, the memorial is freestanding so is presumed to lie outside the protection of any constraints which might be imposed were it fixed to the structure. It is presumably also exempt from church faculties.
We are grateful to Mr Phil Morris of St Bartholomew's Church for his assistance in researching and recording this memorial.
