Description:
A flag of the Old Contemtibles Association accompanied by a wall-mounted commemorative brass plaque. The flag is a vertical tricolour of red, white and blue with the badge and text of the Chesterfield Branch of the Old Contemptibles Association and with a metal badge at the tip of the staff. The oblong plaque has an incised image of the badge at the head flanked by battle honours and images at the two bottom corners of pedestals bearing inscriptions and supporting flaming torches. The incised text is in decorative gothic sentence-case lettering. The plaque is mounted on an oaken backboard.

It was Allocated to the Chesterfield Branch, Who handed it Into the Safe Keeping of This Church, This Day of Our Lord Sunday the 24th of March 1946 WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
