Location details: The church is at the rear of the Parish Centre. The memorial is west of the church, opposite the main entrance, near the path from the road.

Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is faint but legible.

Description:
An addition to the lettering on a stone on a family grave. The limestone memorial comprises oblong kerbs with a deep chamfer on the inner face bearing the inscription incised in upright capital roman lettering. The kerbs accompany a CWGC headstone and have the maker's name incised at the foot.

Unknoen date: The kerbs were made by W Jackson, monumental mason.
28th September, 2016: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition although the inscription was faint and not easy to read.

Pte J C Roberts is buried here so this is not a war memorial to him - it is his war grave, recognised as such by the CWGC. Capt W J Roberts is buried at Ipswich, therefore this is a war memorial to him.
