Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.


Description:

An addition to the lettering on a headstone on a family grave. The low black granite headstone has a polished face in the style of a scroll unfurled over a roughly-dressed wall. The headstone surmounts an oblong roughly-dressed black granite two-stepped base with bevelled top, also with a polished panel on the face of the upper step. It is accompanied by oblong roughly-dressed black granite kerbs. The 6 o'clock faces of the headstone and base bear incised inscriptions mainly in upright capital roman lettering.
