Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.
|
Description:
An addition to the lettering on a stone on a family grave. The grave bears a limestone tablet in the style of a reclining unfurled scroll on a chamfered base and incorporating a further tablet in the style of an open book leaning against the scroll. A further white marble tablet leaning against the base is also in the style of an open book. All three tablets bear inlaid inscriptions in upright capital lettering, some of which is missing or damaged. The grave is surrounded by oblong chamfered limestone kerbs.
