Type
Overall type: Addition to gravestone. Overall condition: At risk. The inscription is legible but the memorial is damaged and becoming overgrown.


Description:

Additional wording on a family memorial comprising a sandstone cross on a three stepped base. At the centre of the plain latin cross is a Christograph in relief within a quatrefoil panel. The plain oblong steps have shallow bevelled tops and bear inscriptions on the 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock faces incised in upright, capital, mainly block lettering. However, the conjoined cross and top step have become detached and laid back against the 12 o'clock face.

History and Conservation
21st February, 2020: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. Overall it was in fair condition and the inscription was legible, but the upper part had been detached and was overgrown with vegetaion.
