Overall type: Shrine.

Overall condition: Good. The inscription is legible and the memorial is well cared for.

Description:

A shrine comprising the Madonna and Child within a wooden frame. The carved wooden figure of the Madonna is wearing a red, blue and gold gown and the Child is dressed in white. The figures are contained within a varnished polygonal frame with a canopy of carved pierced tracery and with panelling at the sides. At the foot is an oblong brass plaque bearing the incised inscription in upright capital roman lettering.

c1957: A new north aisle was built and the memorial was presumably moved to its present position from elswhere.

26 September 1977: The church was listed Grade II, Heritage List for England number 1334707.

10th July, 2013: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in good condition.
