The central panel featured a depiction of Jonathan in a red robe loosing one of the three arrows as a signal while David, in blue, hid from King Saul. The two side panels each contained a depiction of a white cross in a war cemetery. The cross bore an inscription in black upright capital lettering while the green foreground bore red poppies and a further inscription in red upright capital lettering.
