Northwest of the church, on the right side of the central path when walking up the hill.

Overall type: Tablet. Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.


Description:

A reclining limestone tablet on a family grave. The plain oblong tablet has hollowed shoulders and bears an inlaid inscription in upright capital lettering. The grave also bears a low limestone headstone in the style of a scroll unfurled over a wall, a further oblong tablet and plain oblong limestone kerbs.

October 1980: The memorial lies within the Old Matlock Conservation Area first designated in that month.

16th May, 2018: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition although some lettering was missing or damaged.
