History and Conservation
Unknown date, c1914?: The memorial was installed.

13th September, 1967: The church was listed Grade II*, Heritage List for England number 1109768.

August 1991: The Snelston Conservation Area was designated. The church lies within it.

4th September, 2019: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in poor condition because at some stage in the past it has either been affected by damp or damaged by insects because an area to the left was damaged. However it is now cared for.

Comments
It is probable that the roll was installed in the church early in the war and names added to it as the men enlisted. Their names would then have been entered as a duplicate when they died.
