Location details:
The church is on the south side of Mayfield Rd at the junction with School La. The memorial is moved from time to time but was last recorded in the choir, against the north wall.

Overall type: Cabinet. Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible and the memorial is cared for.

A glazed oaken cabinet with a brass plaque bearing an inscription incised in upright capital roman lettering..

History and Conservation
15th June, 1951: The church was listed Grade I, Heritage List for England number 1207715

November, 1968: Ashbourne Conservation Area was first designated; the church lies within it.

Unknown date (c2005?): The memorial was procured and installed in the church.

22nd December, 2008: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson. It was in fair condition and cared for.

26th September, 2019: The memorial was resurveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition and cared for.

The cabinet contains a book that is also a memorial to Walter Turner who served in the RAF in China 1942-1945.
