Description:
A glazed and framed roll of honour. The upright oblong roll is hand drawn and written on paper, and portrays coloured images of the church with service flags at the head and regimental badges around the edges, all laid out within a broad stepped border infilled with delicate swirls of foliage. The names are arranged in two columns of upright capital lettering within a central panel. A narrow outer border of twin lines contains the names of countries and towns, and the artist’s name is given in the bottom right corner. The frame is of oak.

History and Conservation |
1946: The roll was produced by D A Fisher, artist.
17th April, 1951: The Peak District National Park was designated. The church lies within it.
12th July 1967: The church was listed Grade II*, Heritage List for England reference 1063739
19th February, 1988: The Beeley Conservation Area was designated by the Peak
Park Joint Planning Board. The church lies within it.
16th January, 2009: The Beeley Conservation Area Appraisal was adopted by the Peak District National Park Authority.
23rd September, 2010: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition and cared for. |
