Location details:
The church is on the south side of Mayfield Rd at the junction with School La. The memorial is moved from time to time but was last recorded in the choir, against the north wall.
Type
Overall type: Book of remembrance. Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible and the memorial is cared for.


Description:

A parish book of remembrance in a blue buckram-bound cover and with a dedication page at the front bearing an inscription in black upright sentence case calligraphy. The book is displayed in a cabinet which bears a brass plaque with an incised inscription in upright capital roman lettering.

History and Conservation
15th June, 1951: The church was listed Grade I, Heritage List for England number 1207715

November, 1968: Ashbourne Conservation Area was first designated; the church lies within it.

Unknown date (c2005?): The memorial was procured and installed in the church.

22nd December, 2008: The memorial was investigated by Roy Branson. The book had been removed for conservation.

26th September, 2019: The memorial was resurveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in good condition and cared for.
