Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.


Description:

Additional lettering on a headstone on a family grave. The upright nowy headed grey limestone headstone has recessed sides, canted shoulders and a spray of flowers in relief in a quatrefoil panel at the head. The inscription is inlaid in mixed styles of mainly upright capital lettering. The headstone surmounts an oblong stone base with chamfered top and is accompanied by oblong stone kerbs.

History
October 1980: The memorial lies within the Old Matlock Conservation Area first designated in that month.

16th March, 2009: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition although some of the numerals towards the foot of the headstone were missing.

12th October, 2016: The memorial was reinspected by Roy Branson and Anne Branson. It was in fair condition.
