Description:
Additional lettering to the inscription on a family gravestone. The sandstone headstone has a shallow triangular arch top, stepped and rebated sides and an incised inscription in upright capital block lettering coloured black. The headstone surmounts a plain oblong base and is accompanied by an oblong recumbent tablet on an oblong backboard. The tablet has a recessed flower holder at the head and bears a further inscription in similar style.

The church lies on the edge of the civil parish of Hulland which contains Hulland (village) and Hulland Moss. The adjacent developments along the Ashbourne-Belper road lie in the civil parish of Hulland Ward which has become a general name for all of the localities in the area.
