Overall condition: At Risk. The inscription is legible but the memorial has been significantly damaged and partly destroyed.

Description:
A white marble headstone on the surface of a family grave bearing an inlaid inscription in upright capital roman lettering. The headstone has a shallow arch top and hollowed shoulders with recessed cornice and floriation and is now laid flat on the ground adjacent to the grave. The headstone was once accompanied by kerbs but they are now lost.

Inscription
[IN MEMORY] OF [ARTHUR] THE [DEARLY] LOVED HUSBAND OF GERTRUDE JOHNSON AT REST 13TH. AUGUST 1937, AGED 78 YEARS. ALSO HIS BELOVED WIFE GERTRUDE, AT REST 22ND. DECEMBER 1944, AGED 86 YEARS. [ALSO] THEIR SON FRED. 2ND. BATTALION GRENADIER GUARDS [WHO] FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 15TH. SEPT. 1916. "THY WILL BE DONE."

History 12th March 2014: The memorial was researched and photographed by Eric Naden. The grave was unkempt and the memorial was in such poor condition to be judged at risk.
11th November 2015: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. The grave was still in poor condition and at risk.
