Overall type: Lectern.

 Overall condition: Fair.
Description:

An oaken lectern comprising an open framework, semicircular in plan, with a small panel at the front bearing the school coat of arms carved in relief, and with an inclined surface above for supporting documents. A small brass plaque is attached to the upper surface and bears an incised inscription in upright capital block lettering. History

1940s: The lectern was installed in the chapel at the King St premises.

1966: Derby School moved to a new building at Littleover.

1974: The school was changed from a grammar school to a comprehensive school.

September 1989: The school was renamed Derby Moor Community School.

2004: The school was renamed Derby Moor Community Sports College.

2012: The school hall and adjacent chapel were demolished; the lectern was removed and placed into temporary storage.

January 2013: The new school buildings were occupied and the lectern was installed in the assembly hall.

2nd February, 2016: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition.
