| Description: A black bench with a frame of square tubular metal with the seat formed from horizontal rails. The backrest is formed from sheet metal cut to portray a silhouette group of WW1 infantrymen standing by a battlefield grave marker. The scene is surrounded by coils of barbed wire with a spray of red poppies to each side. The main inscription is cut through the top and bottom rails and a small tablet at the top bears a supplementary inscription in black sentence case lettering. Glossary |
