Description:
An addition to the lettering on a stone on a family grave. The stone comprises a limestone cross with decorative arms and a christograph at the centre, on a three-stepped base. The steps have bevelled tops and bear the inscription inlaid in mainly upright capital lettering on the 6 o'clock face.

In Loving Memory of OUR DEAR (REG) PTE. R. J. SEVERN, 2/5 NOTTS & DERBYS, THE BELOVED SON OF JAMES OLIVER & AGNES SEVERN, WHO FELL IN ACTION IN BELGIUM SEPTEMBER 26TH. 1917, AGED 21 YEARS. THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE. ALSO IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY DEAR HUSBAND JAMES OLIVER SEVERN AT REST JANUARY 5TH. 1935, AGED 65 YEARS "PEACE, PERFECT PEACE."

13th October, 2007: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson. It was in fair condition and the inscription was legible.
