A nowy-headed oaken board with a basket arch head edged with an ovolo moulding bearing an egg and dart motif and with a ball finial to each side. Demi-columns to each side have plain bases and volute capitals and at the head is a metal ornament of crossed laurel sprigs. At the foot is a moulded inverted cornice with a frieze below having volute ends and bearing an inscription carved in upright capital block lettering. A central panel repeats the overall design but has an angel at the head bearing a laurel wreath in each hand. At the centre of this panel is a further inscription incised in upright capital block lettering with the gilded names of the fallen arranged in a single column. The names of those who fought and returned are in a single column to each side.
