Location details:
The building is on the north side of the road. The plaque is inside, on the face of the former pulpit.

Description:

An upright oblong nowy-headed brass plaque. Coloured crossed Union Flags are incised at the head and the whole has a decorative border.

Harold Allsop, Wm Hardy, George R. Staley, Walter Smith, Harold Smith, Harold Upchurch.
Also of James Gibbs Hardy, president of this church, 1916, who was killed during Zeppelin raid on Derby, Jan 31st, 1916.

History and Conservation
c1920: The memorial was purchased by subscriptions from the congregation and friends.

16th February, 1921: The memorial was unveiled by Lord Roe, sometime MP for, and Mayor of, Derby.

24th February, 1977: The building was listed Grade II, Heritage list for England number 215812.

2002: The church was closed and sold. It was subsequently converted into a restaurant.

2nd October, 2019: The memorial was photographed by Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition and cared for.
