Location details:
The memorial is southeast of the church, towards the southern boundary of the churchyard.

Type
Overall type: Addition to gravestone Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.


Description:

An addition to a white marble headstone (now seriously discoloured) on a family grave. The tall upright headstone has a pointed arch top with a thin incised border and has recesssed sides. The face has a narrow inlaid border and has a trefoil panel at the head containing roses carved in relief. The inlaid inscription is mainly in upright capital roman lettering. The headstone surmounts an oblong base with a bevelled top and is accompanied by plain oblong sandstone kerbs with a chamfered top.

History and Conservation
Unknown date: The memorial lies within the Breadsall Conservation Area.

13th April, 2021: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition although the discolouration of the headstone reduced legibility of the inscription.
